Faced with disease that could take her mother, Dr. Boz looked for and found solution we can all live with.
When I first heard about “keto” and low carb eating I thought people were crazy. It wasn’t until an unexpected diagnosis that I decided to “take the keto plunge” and quite frankly I didn’t have much of a choice. There are many keto doctors on social media and other non-medical ketoers however, Dr. Boz does her research out of a place of purity. A place of love of people and an inherent need to provide help to everyone who is willing to accept it. She does this without an agenda, other than to get information out to all those suffering. Her book is one of those you can’t put down even though it has science in it. I have 20 keto books and I keep buying Dr. Boz’s book as gifts to give many friends. I look forward to her upcoming book.
This is a great book full of easy to read information to help you on the way to a healthy lifestyle! All doctors should read it! Thank you so much for taking the time to spread this valuable information!!!
I’ve read quite a few diet and health related books over the years, but none of them really kept my attention the way this one did. Dr. Boz is no dummy, she alternates great info about keto, with the story of her mother’s healing journey. Without her mother’s amazing story, I doubt I would have read the whole thing, especially since I had already done a lot of research on keto, and had started on keto a few months before I got the book.
Down 44 lbs. so far in six months, and I feel so much better. No more constant cravings, low blood sugar slumps, etc., just a nice sustained energy.
My wife also decided to try keto, after watching Dr. Boz on her Youtube channel, just to lose about 15 lbs. of stubborn post menopause weight, and to make it easier for me to stay on keto. However, she experienced benefits beyond the weight loss (she lost 17 lbs.). She used to have headaches, pretty much on a daily basis, she was pre-diabetic, and loss of energy. After six months on keto, her headaches are very rare, blood sugars are normal, and she has more energy.
If you are doing keto, or considering keto, this book is worth the read.
Written by a practicing physician in patient friendly language this is a great book to get you started on your life long keto journey.
Very helpful. Answered many questions I had. Everyone should read this book. I’ve been looking everywhere for answers to the numbers for blood sugar and keto meters. Finally found answers to help me keto on!
This is book explains keto thoroughly in an easy-to-understand manner. Dr. Boz has a delightful sense of humor. Her book is not boring nor dry in the least.
My first review ever. I had been doing keto for over two years at the time of reading this book. Man, do I wish I had read it earlier. My first purchase was after watching Dr Bosworth’s Utubes and enjoying her teaching method so much. I bought two books, one for me and one to leave around work for anyone to read. Later, I bought two more, one for my sis and one for a friend of my sis just diagnosed with cancer; because I’m not willing to part with my book. This book is informative, easy to read, and so encouraging. I hope more and more people read and share this book. I pray more and more people fight cancer with ketosis and find their true weight and health as I have done. Rock on Dr Bos. Thanks so much for your passion and your sharing.
Doctor Boz takes complicated information and explains it so that non medical people can understand it. She weaves the story of her mom’s cancer journey throughout the chapters while teaching us new information in such a way that the book reads like a story not a text book. I’m a thankful, enlightened baby boomer feeling more prepared and empowered to age well.
Great read. Goes into the science, in a
Layman’s terms, tells about how a ketogenic diet is a great adjunct to other treatments. Factually based.
